Don't be fooled by the seemingly unimaginative name - as Borough owes its title to when, at the southern end of London Bridge, it was quite literally the only borough outside the City of London itself. The George Inn in Borough High Street is London's only remaining galleried inn. Owned by the National Trust, the yard is now often used for music performances as well as the occasional pop-up event in the summer months (if we're lucky).
