Founded by Suphoj Chancheaw, Bloom Couture Floral Studio delivers fresh-cut flowers and floral arrangements to the people of Boston, alongside their in-home floral design consultation service.
Suphoj has been drawn to botanicals for as long as she can remember, specifically since her grandmother passed on expert skills used for religious ceremonies in Thailand. "After graduating from business school and working in marketing for three years, I considered the idea of opening a flower shop in Thailand, but decided to take an opportunity to explore the world by studying abroad," explains Suphoj. "I came to the United States in 1998 and completed a Master of Fine Arts in Architectural Studies from Columbia College Chicago." It was while working as interior designer ten years ago that Suphoj decided to open his own floral studio.
Describing the Bloom Couture aesthetic as "elegant", "welcoming" and "unique", Suphoj is drawn to the characteristics of individual stems. "Each type of flower has its own character, and I enjoy blending them in unique ways to create harmonious compositions for people to enjoy. More than any other gift, flowers connect people through emotion and they can be given at any time".
