Rawtenstall is a town of about 22,000 located in the northwest English county of Lancashire. Close to regional hub Blackburn, the town is renowned for its location amid some of the most beautiful landscapes in the county.
The stately home and grounds of Towneley Park is surely one of Lancashire’s foremost attractions, if not the greatest of all. Covering almost two hundred hectares, the park has long been a meeting place and leisure area for the towns hard-working locals, who for centuries have been some of the most enterprising in the UK. Best of all, there is an excellent museum located within the stately home itself that showcases Victorian and pre-Raphaelite art.
Perhaps the best known of local attractions near Rawtenstall is the stately home at Gawthorpe Hall. Located on the banks of the River Calder, it is a Grade I listed building with World Heritage Status since the 1950’s. The building itself hails from the Elizabethan era whilst the decor within is mostly Victorian.

As a proud Lancastrian town, it would only be right to assign the Red Rose (Rosa Gallica) as the floral symbol of Rawtenstall.
Shrouded in centuries of local folklore, the Red Rose of Lancaster first become linked to the wider county after its use as a symbol in the War of the Roses during the late 15th-century.
Today the Rose is featured on the Lancashire County Council coat of arms and many of the region’s football and rugby clubs. Throughout Rawtenstall, florists use the Red Rose as inspiration when handcrafting elegant bouquets for Floom’s Rawtenstall flower delivery.
Great choice of flowers and got delivered on time - will use again
Great experience, very easy to use and organise. I sent two seperate bunches to diff addresses in the UK, I live in New Zealand so wasn’t sure how to organise this easily, Floom was a breeze, no issues, plenty of choice, quick payment and flowers arrived on time on schedule. Thank you.
Very pretty and my girlfriend loves it. Only problem is they don’t call when they deliver.
Really lovely flowers - super prompt and easy delivery
My only critiques are the flowers received were different than those in the photo . I was trying to avoid roses as they die quickly but the bouquet was mostly roses it seemed. Also ask zip code first please so you only see what’s actually available in that area. Otherwise I’ve been very pleased ! Thank you ….
Beautiful flowers delivered, small issue with communications but flowers arrived on the day
Floom’s flowers were actually more beautiful in person! I would highly recommend :)
I have both received and sent flowers with Floom and had wonderful experiences both times! I love the unique arrangements from the array of florists they work with. It is a nice change of pace from the same bouquets at all the other usual suspects, and I really like to find new local shops to support.
