Shaw’s Corner is one of the most unique attractions in Hertfordshire. This idyllic villa was home to renowned Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw from 1906 until 1950. Today the home is a National Trust museum with exhibits about the writer’s life and works. Much of the home remains the same as how Shaw left it, with the gardens and writing shed being two particularly noteworthy areas of the exhibition.
