Located about twenty miles from London in the county of Hertfordshire, Hemel Hempstead was developed as a ‘new town’ in the wake of the mess left by World War Two. An affluent settlement, Hemel Hempstead is not short on cultural attractions and points of interest.

The cathedral honors Alban, Britain’s first Christian martyr, who is thought to have been executed by the Romans in the late 3rd century close to Hemel Hempstead.
