Our Edgemere flower delivery serves the Queens neighborhood founded in 1892 by Frederick J. Lancaster, whose original vision for the areas was as a community called ‘New Venice’ – complete with canals and gondoliers! Though presumably not the strange smell and giant pollutant ferries shuttling through ten times a day… While New Venice might have been doomed from the start Lancaster did at least manage to create Edgemere, a more conventional seaside colony with a popular, highly luxurious hotel that opened in 1895.
