Strelitzia are characterised by their lush, tropical foliage. Lovely paddle shaped leaves make this guy a gorgeous addition to your home. Nicolai is the bigger white flowering relative of Reginea. Strelitzia are a real favourite when it comes to adding architectural pieces inside your home, they really make a statement. Low maintenance and perfect for injecting some green into your space. How to care for your Strelitzia Water: Keep the soil moist during Summer and water when the top 5cm of the soil feels dry. During the colder months, allow the soil to dry out a little more. Light: Strelitzia thrive in bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight could scorch the leaves and damage the flowers. Humidity: They like humidity but would be happy with normal household humidity levels. Temperature: They prefer the warmth, about 20 degrees C but can tolerate colder. How to care for your plants

  • Your plant’s pot should have holes in the bottom so it is able to drain water easily.

  • If reusing a pot that had other plants in it, it is recommended you wash the pot, killing any mould or bacteria.

  • Do not over water your plant as the roots will rot.

  • Most plants need to be kept by a good source of natural light.

  • You should fertilise your plant every two months. You can use all purpose fertiliser.

  • Any dead or fallen leaves should be removed to prevent bacteria and mould. Dead branches should also be removed.
