Kingsbury's Finest Independent Florists
Not an independent urban district until 1900, Kingsbury was previously part of Wembley until Victorian development necessitated a breakaway. The area, now located in the London Borough of Brent, has undergone a series of significant shifts, including a near complete demographic switch since the Second World War. More than 20% of Kingsbury’s main ward, Fryent, are of Indian origin, and roughly 10% are eastern European residents - a complete change to the pre-war makeup.
The name Kingsbury is derived from ‘The King’s Manor’, and formerly included Queensbury too. We’ll leave you to figure out what the meaning is behind that.
