The Thrift (Armeria Maritime), also known as the sea thrift or sea pink, is the county flower of Haverfordwest. This soft pink flower thrives in rock gardens, growing in bunches on one stem, and is able to survive difficult conditions such as high concentrations of copper. The Thrift was featured on the British threepence coin between 1937 and 1952, adorning the reverse of the King’s head.
