Kokedama is a traditional Japanese form of bonsai in which tropical plants are transformed into living sculptural art pieces -- simply translated, kokedama means "moss ball". Maranta are often called Prayer Plants due to their unique habit of folding their leaves upwards at night. Not quite vining, these low spreading plants look stunning in kokedama. If you would rather not string up a hanging garden in your home, display kokedama on altar-like stands and arrange in artistic groupings. Either way, the results are extraordinarily appealing.
Moss ball diameter measures approx 15cm. Plant measures approx. 30cm tall.
*Please bear in mind, each plant is a unique individual with its own quirky character and looks.
Maranta thrive in medium to bright indirect light. To water, simply soak your kokedama in a sink or basin until thoroughly saturated. Includes detailed care instructions.
