The Peace Lily, or White sails, is a household favourite however their native origin resides in the rainforest, far from the kitchens of city homes they commonly occupy. The peace lily is an excellent choice for those looking to liven up their homes with a plant, as they are low maintenance - requiring a minimal amount of water and light to remain healthy. If you have cats or dogs, this may not be the plant for you however, as they are toxic to both. Peace lilies grow around 1-4 feet tall and can therefore live on the floor, or rest on a table, depending on the height.
