Scarborough is an iconic english resort town on the country’s North Sea coast. For years a favourite seaside retreat for holidaymakers across Yorkshire, Scarborough has recently undergone something of a renaissance as the town looks to roll back the years on its role as a tourism hotspot.

Split by a headland bearing the iconic Scarborough Castle, the town’s two bays boast some of North East England’s most beautiful sandy beaches. Peasholm Park is something of a mecca for Scarborough’s flora enthusiasts, with its Japanese-style plants, flowers and water features making it unique among the region’s many gardens. Opened in 1912, it includes a pagoda and various Japanese statues.
