Cockermouth's Finest Independent Florists

Cockermouth is a market town in the county of Cumbria at the confluence of the rivers Cocker and Derwent. Filled with historical buildings, this 800 year old town sits on the fringes of the stunning Lake District National Park.

In 1770, William Wordsworth, one of the most famous poets in British history, was born in a townhouse in Cockermouth. Today the building is a Grade I listed property and houses a museum detailing the life and works of the celebrated writer. With guided tours and educational programmes, the National Trust-owned attraction is perhaps the most renowned in all of Cockermouth. There are also excellently maintained gardens featuring a selection of local wildflowers.

Another Grade I listed building is Cockermouth Castle, a structure on the edge of town close to the confluence of the two rivers. With the first castle to be built on the site stretching back to the 12th century, it is easy to see just how old the settlement of Cockermouth is. Today the castle is open to the public and remains partially inhabited.

Throughout the town, from central Cockermouth to Papcastle, Floom’s Cockermouth flower delivery serves the entirety of this ancient Cumbrian town.
