A city lying roughly 100 miles north east of London in East Anglia, Norwich is located in the county town of Norfolk. Norwich was the second largest city in the whole of England between the Middle Ages and Industrial Revolution - who knew? Historically, the city has always been associated with fine art, literature and publishing, and that is still the case today. Norwich was home to the first library in England (1608 for those asking), and the Norwich School of artists was the first provincial art movement. The first poem written in blank verse was also composed here by Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey, during the 16th century.
