Located on the banks of the River Tyne opposite Newcastle-upon-Tyne, the town of Gateshead is a key cultural centre within north east England.

The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art is the jewel in Gateshead’s Cultural Crown. Housed in a former mill, this vast arts space features exhibitions from contemporary artists from across the north east and further afield.
