Within Hackney, Lea Bridge Road is widely agreed to be the boundary between Upper and Lower Clapton. Clapton Orient F.C. (now Leyton Orient F.C.) played at the Lea Bridge Stadium between 1930 and 1937, prior to their move to Brisbane Road.
