Kingfisher Flower Shop
Kingfisher Farm Shop have been on the flower scene since 2003, headed up by Marion and her team continuing to bring “natural and slightly wild!” arrangements to locals. The flower shop opened it’s doors as part of a family business steeped in horticultural experience, “British grown flowers and seasonal flowers are a passion of ours”, explains Marion, “and sets us aside from others in the area. We like to make sure our customers are able to buy and experience flowers that are cared for by an amazing floral team”. Marion’s team not only provide gorgeous British grown flowers for locals looking to pick up something for loved ones or themselves, but they also arrange flowers for weddings, celebrations and events throughout Surrey. As for what inspires that passionate love of flowers? “Constance Spry” Marion says. “A mid 20th century florist, who I believe shaped the floristry industry. She had such an incredible eye for textures, colours and forms that are still used to this day.” She explains that her team have a common interest and love that stems of this inspiration, which is “we share working with flowers are our love for colour, texture and nature”. When asked the question, what’s your favourite memory working with flowers, Marion explains “I don’t have any particular ones that spring to mind - there is always great satisfaction in the joy of people receiving flowers and every single arrangement or event brings make happy memories”. Lastly, if Marion was a flower, she would describe herself as a chocolate cosmos “a quiet surprise amongst the crowd!”, which is exactly how we would describe this incredible flower shop.
