Sometimes you just have to give in to the 'nice things.' That's what the lovely ladies behind Velvet Brown did when they let flowers into their professional lives. In fact, 'nice things' have always been at the heart of the Velvet Brownies' (favourite self-appointed florist nickname yet!) work: they built successful careers sourcing and selling beautiful objects in their Buckinghamshire shops, before succumbing to the allure of - if we dare say so ourselves - the nicest of all the nice things. The floral catalyst was a bunch of Dutch parrot tulips. Says founder Hazel: "inspired by their wiggly stems and wrinkly heads and just how fabulous they looked... I had to find out more!" Find out more she did and the Velvet Brownies are now proudly committed to the complexities of only sourcing seasonal flowers.
