Webb and Farrer

Based in the coastal town of Brighton, Webb & Farrer is headed up by florist Alex Barton. You’ll often catch her in the idealistic pose of a true Englishwoman, sipping cups of tea, listening to BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour, and often clutching a worn Agatha Christie novel. The name of her floristry comes from her grandparents “Webb is my Grandma Jean’s maiden name and Farrer is my Grandma Olive’s maiden name.” Says Alex “I wanted to use their names so I’d have them with me all the time and to remind me of their gardens that inspired me.”

“The change of the seasons means I’m easily persuaded to have a new favourite flower each month...”
“..If I had to make a choice I would say delphiniums are my favourite because they’re dramatic and elegant all at once and their colours are beautiful.”
